CD Duplication and DVD Duplication Services

What is Duplication?

Duplication starts in exactly the same way as Replication; you supply Media Matters with your master CD or DVD, together with your disc artwork. From this point on the process is different. Firstly your artwork is checked over and a final proof PDF is sent to you, once this is signed off, we start printing your CD-R or DVD-R on our digital disc printers, this is often done in advance giving you more time to finalise the content on your disc. Whether we are producing a run of CD-R or a DVD-R we only use Taiyo Yuden discs - these are generally considered to be the best discs available from both a data integrity and the quality of the printable surface.

Once you have sent us your master disc (please make a copy of your master before sending it to us), your discs are then duplicated on our automated R-Quest duplication systems. As with replication, we have a vast array of different packaging options avilable, and the final part of the process is for our packers to place your discs in your desired packaging.

What is the difference between Duplication and Replication?

Duplication is the transfer of your CD or DVD to a pre manufactured recordable disc, it has a printable surface to which we print your artwork image. Media Matters Technology can easily print up to around 2000 discs in house in about 5 working days. When anything over a 1000 discs is required, Replication is the cheaper (but slower) option, with a production turnaround of typically 10 working days.
